Skills and Training Hub
Prologis is delivering, on site, a dedicated centre for industrial logistics job training and education in Leicestershire. This new centre will provide fully-funded training for local people and will host our global training programme, the Prologis Warehousing and Logistics Training Programme (PWLTP).
Delivered in association with Goodwill Solutions, the PWLTP provides individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to embark upon a successful career in industrial logistics. Through the PWLTP, we aim to have trained over 5,000 people in the Midlands by 2026 through a blended approach to learning – emphasising the benefits of hands-on, practical experience. Our courses are tailored to the needs of the industry and delivered by professionals.
In particular, the PWLTP has a particular focus on supporting school leavers; young people not in education, employment or training; those looking to reskill, and those furthest from the job market.
At present, the PWLTP is based at our training facility, The Hub, located at the Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal (DIRFT) in Northamptonshire. To date, through the delivery of courses at The Hub, Prologis has delivered £39m of community investment and almost 1,000 people have undertaken the free training courses which have helped to match candidates with a wide range of quality jobs available at DIRFT and across the region.
